So, guess what arrived yesterday? My absentee ballot. Thanks a lot.
FORTUNATELY, (or rather unfortuantely) I was not the only one who didn't receive their ballot on time this year, so I was able to google what to do about it. I found this website, which allowed me to create and fax in a write in ballot, and then mail it afterwards. Here I am about to mail my ballot.
On a side note, so many of my South African friends are amazed that we are able to vote while we are overseas. It is something I had never even given a second thought to before - but it is truly a privilege to have our votes count even though we are temporarily out of the country. Not many countries allow their citizens to do that. Yay, America!
